still alive and kicking

I haven't posted in a couple weeks b/c so much was happening. Here's an update from the last two weeks:

1. Monica gave birth to a beautiful baby boy Nathan James Lin, weighing 8 lbs 8 oz, and 21" long. He has a full head of hair much like Sammy when he was born, and the sweetest chubby cheeks in the world. And he was born on my mom's birthday, August 1st!

2. I got to see Sarah and Jeff and Emma and Andrew. Andrew is now 4 mos old and SO CUTE!!!! I couldn't stop holding him b/c he was always smiling and cooing...

3. I got to see Darcey and the boys, Christian and Stephen. Darcey let us go see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, which was a total blast, I love hanging out w/my nephews.

4. Received the sad news that my dog George had to be put to sleep. I still feel a little numb about this b/c I loved her very much but haven't had a chance to really take in that she is gone. (yes she was a girl and her name was George. Not short for Georgia or Georgette, just George. She was named after George Harrison.)

5. Drove to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to attend Greg and Brandy Stefan's wedding. Holy crap 20 hours is waaaay more than anyone should have to spend in a car. I never want to do that all in one shot again. But yeah, the wedding was beautiful.

6. Oh yeah, before I left for my road trip, our apartment was broken into. God was watching out for us b/c they didn't take anything big, like our laptops or guitars. Only some cash, checks, Erica's cds, and Shanda's iPod. It's kind of scary though, knowing some kids out there who are not afraid to break in, have seen that we have all this equipment and instruments in our apartment.

Well, that's what happened while I was gone. The Karikari is moving down here and into the dorms this weekend, woohoo! And Mark will be in town with her helping her move in. I'm stoked to see them:).

It's been a crazy summer, but to be honest I'm glad it's over. That's never happened before.

We're getting renter's insurance at the Chateau b/c of the break-in. We don't want something like that to happen again, but these guys know where we live...
